Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public access to many court and public records, but court files are not all held by one Anne Arundel County office. The Clerk of the Circuit Court handles Circuit Court records and many license services. District Court clerks handle traffic, small claims, landlord-tenant, peace order, protective order, and lower-level criminal matters. The Register of Wills and Orphans' Court handle estate records. The Sheriff's Office manages warrants and civil process, while detention records come from the Department of Detention Facilities.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Maryland court, Anne Arundel County office, clerk's office, sheriff's office, detention agency, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
